AI Sketch Robot
One photo, nine styles, drawn live and framed in wood
A guest steps in front of the camera for one photo. Instead of tracing it, AI studies the face the way an artist would and re-draws it in the style the guest picks — realistic pencil, chibi, doodle caricature, manga and more, nine in all. A desktop drawing robot then picks up a pen and draws it stroke by stroke on a 4×6 inch card while everyone watches and films. The finished sketch goes into a natural wood frame and home as a one-of-a-kind keepsake.
- Nine styles to choose from — Realistic pencil, chibi, doodle caricature, urban sketch, picture book, manga — pick one on the tablet, re-created on the spot
- Re-created, not traced — AI captures the features first and draws from scratch, like commissioning an artist rather than applying a filter
- Real pen, real card, wood frame — The drawing robot draws on a 4×6 card line by line; it goes home in a natural wood frame
Overview: who it's for & what it solves
The AI Sketch Robot (also known as a Sketchbot, AI sketch robot arm, robot portrait artist or robot caricature) is Pixanity’s on-site keepsake and crowd-puller in one: a guest takes one photo, AI captures the features and re-creates the portrait as a black-and-white sketch in one of nine styles — academic realism, bold caricature I/II, doodle family, chibi I/II, urban sketch, picture book, manga — and a desktop drawing robot physically draws it with a pen on a 4×6 inch (10×15 cm) card, framed in natural wood and taken home on the spot. Singles, couples, families, group selfies and pets all work. Unlike AI caricature prints, the selling point is watching the robot draw stroke by stroke, which gathers onlookers and phone cameras — ideal for exhibition booths, company D&D, brand launches, family days, mall activations and wedding receptions. Quoted by service hours, portrait count and number of robots, islandwide across Singapore.
What is the AI Sketch Robot?
The AI Sketch Robot is a tabletop drawing robot that holds a pen, paired with a camera and a tablet. The camera takes the guest’s photo, AI studies the face — shape, glasses, hairstyle, the way they smile — and re-draws it from scratch in the style the guest picks; the robot then draws that sketch onto a 4×6 inch card. It replaces the live sketch artist at events, except the artist is a robot and everyone can watch it work.
The key word is re-created. Many drawing robots simply trace the photo into lines, which looks like a photocopy. Pixanity’s AI works like an artist: once it has the features it can re-compose, simplify clothes and background and push the expression, so the same photo becomes nine very different drawings that are all unmistakably you. Couples, families, selfies of four or five friends — even the family cat or dog — all work.
The big difference from AI caricature booths is that it really draws on paper. A print takes a second but nobody gathers around a printer; for the few minutes the pen moves, the guest watches their own face emerge line by line while friends film, and that wait becomes the busiest moment at the booth. The finished sketch carries real pen strokes and paper texture, and in its wood frame it ends up on a desk or a wall.
One photo, nine styles
Every image below is a real sketch generated by the production system from the same photo — not an illustration. Switch the subject above to see how each style interprets the same face.

Pencil-like realistic portrait with hatching that follows the face — closest to a classic sketch

Thick ink lines, big eyes and head, solid hair fill — the strongest contrast

Same bold caricature with fewer lines and more white space — fastest for the robot

Hand-drawn doodle feel; everyone looks like a sketchbook character

Two-head-tall chibi dolls with the biggest smiles and expressions

Cleaner-lined chibi, great for couples and family shots

Loose, improvised strokes like a café sketchbook

Rounded storybook outlines — especially cute for kids and parents

Fine, even G-pen lines with manga eyes and flowing hair
The organiser can fix one style for the whole event or let guests choose on site; finer styles such as Academic Realistic and Manga take the robot longer to draw.
Every face at the D&D, awards night or expo can be drawn
Left is the photo taken at the event, right is the AI re-creation the robot actually draws. Executive portraits, colleague shots, award sashes and groups of four or five — all real results.

Award group → Chibi
Four colleagues in suits receiving awards become four chibi dolls holding their certificates.

Five with sashes → Bold Caricature
Five top performers at a recognition event — sashes and thumbs-up all kept.

On-stage award → Bold Caricature
Three colleagues in front of the stage, trophy included — the classic D&D shot.

Formal pair → Bold Caricature
Suit and dress, posture and expression intact; clean lines that draw fast.

Cheering winners → Bold Caricature
Two award winners cheering in front of the backdrop, the motion fully kept.

Manager posing → Chibi
Suit, lanyard and peace sign; AI turns the grin into a laughing big-headed doll.

Red-carpet portrait → Bold Caricature
A full-length formal shot on the D&D red carpet, simplified yet instantly recognisable.

Evening dress → Chibi
Seated pose, long dress and handbag all kept — perfect for galas and award nights.

Sash selfie → Bold Caricature
A winner taking a selfie with her phone; even the lettering on the sash is drawn in.

Colleagues → Urban Sketch
Loose sketchbook strokes, like a ten-minute live sketch at the booth.

Three friends → Doodle Family
An event selfie turned into a sketchbook family of three.

Suit selfie → Chibi
Even a quick selfie draws well; suit and expression turn round and cute.
Watching your own face appear, one line at a time
Guests rarely walk away after picking a style. They lean in and watch the pen: the outline first, then the eyes, then the moment of recognition — “that’s me”. Someone starts filming, the next person joins the queue, and a circle forms around the table. Receiving the sketch in its wood frame with the ink barely dry feels more like a personal gift than any giveaway.

Finished, framed in wood, taken home at the liveliest moment
The sketch the robot draws on a 4×6 card goes straight into a natural wood frame on site. Awards gala, D&D table, exhibition booth, registration desk — this is what it looks like.

Exhibition booth: a row waiting to be collected

Awards gala: the winner’s chibi

D&D table: colleagues’ sketch

Registration desk: the moment it arrives

Gala cocktail table: academic realistic
Framed shots are illustrations built on real sketches from the production system; photos of robot-drawn originals are being added.
Photo, pick a style, robot draws, framed to go
From photo to framed sketch, everything happens on site.
One photo at the camera
A half-body photo at the camera, or scan to upload a favourite photo from a phone — group shots and pets welcome.
AI re-creates, guest picks a style
AI captures the features and re-draws the photo in nine styles; the guest picks a favourite on the tablet.
The robot draws
The desktop drawing robot draws the sketch on a 4×6 inch card with a real pen, progress shown live on the tablet.
Framed and taken home
Into a natural wood frame, logo and event date optional, taken home on the spot.
Why the AI Sketch Robot works at events
The robot is the attraction
A drawing robot working on a table stops passers-by on its own — no emcee needed.
Nine styles, every sketch different
Re-created rather than traced, from realistic to chibi — guests pick their own style, no two alike.
Watchable and filmable
A few minutes of drawing is perfect social content; guests post it and your brand travels with it.
Framed, and kept
Real pen, real paper, varying stroke weight, in a natural wood frame — a keepsake that gets displayed.
The robot drawing, for real
Our own machine, phone footage: from the first stroke and hatching to the finished card, with the tablet showing live progress.
Sketch robot in action (41-second cut)
First strokes on the faces, machine overview, hatching close-up, the tablet hitting 96%, pen up and the finished three-person chibi card lifted off the bed — this is what it really draws.
The machine, for real: drawn with a pen
Not printed, not projected. A desktop drawing robot holds a pen and draws on a 4×6 card line by line while the tablet shows progress; the result is a genuinely hand-drawn-feel piece.

Drawing No.5342
The card is held by magnets on the bed; the pen follows the AI sketch while the tablet shows how far along it is. Fits on a table about 60 cm deep.

Machine and tablet
The drawing robot plus a progress tablet is the full setup; guests watch the whole process from the side.

Robot-drawn academic realistic
Every hatch is a real pen stroke with weight and direction — a texture printing cannot fake.

Robot-drawn line art
Line styles draw fastest and cleanest; framed in wood, it is the finished keepsake.
These four are unedited test photos of our own machine (Nov 2026); live-event photos and guest keepsakes are being added.
The experience at a glance
From D&D and expos to awards galas — once the robot starts drawing, the crowd gathers. Illustrations built from photos of the real machine.

AI Sketch Robot — FAQ
The questions asked most about the AI Sketch Robot — styles, drawing time, groups and pets, and how it differs from AI caricature and a live artist.
Nine: Academic Realistic, Bold Caricature I/II, Doodle Family, Chibi I/II, Urban Sketch, Picture Book and Manga. The organiser can fix one style for consistency or let guests choose on the tablet; every example on this page is a real result from the production system.
Not traced. AI first captures the features — face shape, hair, glasses, expression — then draws from scratch in the chosen style, so it can re-compose, simplify the background and push the expression, like commissioning an artist, while staying instantly recognisable.
It depends on the style: a clean chibi is about 90 seconds, realistic hatching takes longer. For busy exhibitions or D&D we add robots, or let guests upload by QR and queue so the robot never stops.
Yes. Couples, parents and kids, groups of three to five and cats or dogs all work — the examples here include four colleagues receiving awards, five winners with sashes and executive portraits. More people means more lines and a longer drawing time.
Yes. Sketchbot, AI sketch robot arm, drawing robot, robot portrait artist and robot caricature all describe the same service: a camera takes the photo, AI produces the sketch and a desktop drawing robot draws it with a pen. Use any of these names when you enquire.
A live artist takes roughly 10 to 15 minutes per guest, one at a time, in one style; the robot is fully automatic with nine styles, can run several machines in parallel, needs crew only for guiding and framing, and the drawing itself is the attraction. Many events use both: robots for the crowd, an artist for VIPs.
AI caricature generates a coloured stylised portrait and prints it in about 20 seconds, great for volume; the sketch robot physically draws with a pen and frames it in wood — slower, but the process is the attraction, ideal for booths that need to gather a crowd. The two pair well at one event.
Yes — logo, event name and date can be printed on the card or drawn by the robot as a signature, and the frame can match your key visual.
A table of about 120 cm and a standard power socket, indoor or outdoor; outdoors, avoid strong wind and direct rain.
Guests take the finished 4×6 card on the spot; add a magnetic acrylic frame, solid wood frame or Time Photo Lamp to have it framed there and then, and scan a QR to download the digital sketch for social media.
Exhibition booths, company D&D, brand launches, family days, mall activations and wedding receptions — especially anywhere you need people to stop and stay.
